BAW Brumby Electric City Car Launching in Nepal with 205 km Range

LRR Motors is set to introduce a new electric car to Nepal, representing the renowned Beijing Automobile Works (BAW) brand. The model making its debut in Nepal is the BAW Brumby, a 5-door, 4-seater electric city car designed for urban commuting.

Expected to be priced around Rs 23 Lakh, the BAW Brumby is scheduled to be launched in the second week of August.

The top-spec Brumby features a 17.28 kWh LFP battery and a 30 kW motor to offer a range of 205 kilometers (CLTC range). The BAW Brumby offers a range of 205 kilometers (CLTC range) with dimensions of 3532 mm x 1498 mm x 1605 mm and rides on 13-inch wheels.

Inside, it boasts a dual 10.5-inch infotainment screen, smartphone connectivity, two drive modes, AC, and 360-degree camera, etc.  In terms of charging, it can only be charged via an AC charger.

Established in 1951, BAW initially gained recognition for producing off-road vehicles for the Chinese military. Since 2020, the company has diversified into electric vehicles and now operates with over 8,000 employees and 2,000 sales and service outlets globally.
